# Quickstart

> Collect your first payment into a virtual account.

This takes one API call and one webhook. Use your **test** key throughout.

**1. Create a virtual account**

The response carries the account number and the bank it was issued by.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Display the `bank_name` from the response, not a bank name you hardcoded.
> Flick issues NGN virtual accounts through more than one partner bank and which
> one is in use changes over time. A payer shown the wrong bank will abandon the
> transfer.

**2. Have the payer transfer to it**

Any Nigerian bank app will do. With a test key no money moves.

**3. Receive the webhook**

Flick posts `charge.success` to your registered URL. Verify the
`flick-signature` header, deduplicate on `data.Id`, then credit the order.

**4. Confirm independently**

Before releasing anything of value, re-read the transaction rather than trusting
the webhook body:
